The lock is operated by turn of key and is a Chubb 3K74E retro-fit replacement lock. This deadlock conforms to BS 3621:2007 requirements. It meets the levels specified by Home Insurance companies to separate this lock for cheaper locks that don’t meet the British Standard criteria.
