Parliament Wide Leaf Hinges - A parliament wide leaf door hinge allows the door to be opened wider than a normal hinge. With this style of door hinge, you can open the door to 180 degrees. This allows a more open feel in the property. 

Spring Action Hinges - A spring action door hinge allows a door to be opened both ways and close automatically when required. These are ideal for swing doors in commercial kitchens including restaurants and hotels.

What size hinge is needed for a 35mm thick door? You will need a 75mm hinge for a 35mm thick door. A 75mm hinge is the most common amongst internal doors, whilst an external door or a thicker door would require a 45mm hinge.

What hinge is best for internal oak doors? A ball bearing hinge is the preferred type of hinge for an internal oak door. A ball bearing hinge works by using a number of small stainless steel ball bearings that create a smooth open/closing action. These are most often available in 3 inch and 4 inch variations.
